Your company or personal data is always critical to your day to day operations. You should always keep a backup copy of your laptop / desktop computer to some safe location. Windows Users can backup using File History or Windows 7 Backup Utility. File History works like a time machine backup on Mac OS to backup on your external USB Hard Disk / NAS, it can backup in real time at a regular intervals starting 15 minutes to custom time set and Windows 7 backup Utility take backup on a scheduled time and it stores addition recovery information which is useful while restoring from backup.
Mac OS users have an option to backup to USB Hard Disk or NAS using Time Machine Ulility which backups up your complete date on regular intervals. In case of any system crash the data can be recovered from the backup.
